Welcome to Littlestown Chapel
WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY — APRIL 30, 2017
Get ready. Jesus is coming back! The message of one of the earliest letters written in the New Testament, 1 Thessalonians, is all about glowing steadily in a dark world as we wait for Jesus Christ to return. How can Christians effectively share the joy they have in Jesus with others, and not only tell them, but help them follow Jesus themselves? The key is being a loving spiritual parent. This Sunday we’ll explore 1 Thessalonians 2:1-16 with a message called, “Making a Difference by Making Disciples.” Join us for worship at 8:30 or 10:30 a.m.
WHAT’S A TYPICAL SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE LIKE AT THE CHAPEL?
Mix a generous blend of up-tempo contemporary worship songs with traditional hymns, add prayer, a friendly welcome from fellow worshippers, and a relevant message based on God’s Word, the Bible, and you have a typical Sunday worship service at Littlestown Chapel. Both the 8:30 and 10:30 AM services are designed to encourage you and your family to know and follow God. Come and believe the good news God has to say to you!
WHAT’S THE WORSHIP MUSIC LIKE?
Our worship music includes beloved hymns of the faith and modern worship songs chosen to inspire our praise to the God and encourage our faithful service to Him. Ultimately we worship for an Audience of One: the Living God. Our worship includes celebrating the Lord’s Table/communion (usually the first Sunday of the month) and an opportunity for those who call the Chapel their home to give financially.
WHAT KIND OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DO YOU OFFER?
After the group singing portion at both worship services, the pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade children are dismissed to attend Kids’ Church which features age-appropriate Christian education experiences: Alive for 4s & 5s and Power Source 252. Infant and toddler nurseries, staffed with trained adults, are also available to watch your little ones. Each employee, volunteer teacher, and staff member has passed all the necessary background checks prior to serving at the Chapel.
DO I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHAT I WEAR?
Please wear what is comfortable to you! What matters more to God are the attitudes we wear in our hearts when we come to worship: humility, honesty, and an openness to hear what God has to say.
